Power of the mind!
There are many reports of people who have reversed the doctor's diagnosis of 'terminal' by sheer will and determination. Often it is a spontaneous response to hearing the news that the doctors feel that there is nothing more they can do. "I am not going to die!" is the automatic and deeply felt response by the patient to their very core.
For me, this is another demonstration of the principle that we get what we think in life. If we give our power to outside forces - doctors, family, etc., we are not using that power. The power works both ways, positive and negative. Positive thoughts: joy, love, happiness, security, trust all enhance the healing and wholeness of the individual. Thoughts of fear, anger, hate, mistrust, etc. all support dysfunction within our systems. We do have ultimate control through the power of our thinking and belief, but it must be a pure channel of that energy. It cannot be mixed with thoughts contrary to that goal whatever the goal is.
